Welcome to Northern Lights Jackpot. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Player", "User") and NLJ Operations Ltd. ("Operator", "we", "us"). By accessing this website, creating an account, or purchasing a lottery ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read this document carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services.

1. Eligibility & Verification

Participation in Northern Lights Jackpot is strictly limited to individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Age: You must be at least 19 years of age. Underage gambling is a criminal offense. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age at any stage.
• Residency: You must be physically located within an eligible Canadian province or territory at the time of purchase. Residents of jurisdictions where online lottery is prohibited are not permitted to play.
• Legal Capacity: You must have the full legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

Employees of NLJ Operations Ltd., their immediate families, and affiliated agencies are prohibited from participating in any draw.

2. Account Registration

To purchase tickets, you must register a Player Account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

• One Account Rule: You are permitted to open only one account. Duplicate accounts will be closed, and any associated winnings may be forfeited.
• Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility.
• Updates: You must notify us immediately of any changes to your personal information (e.g., email address, payment method).

3. Ticket Purchases

All ticket purchases are final. Once a transaction has been confirmed by our system, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

• Funds: You must have sufficient funds in your account or a valid payment method to purchase a ticket.
• Confirmation: A ticket is deemed valid only when it is recorded in our central computer system. The "Order Confirmation" email is for record-keeping and does not solely constitute a valid entry if the system failed to record it.
• Price: The cost per entry is $11.50 CAD. We reserve the right to change ticket prices at any time.

4. Game Rules & Draws

The Northern Lights Jackpot game is a game of chance where 6 numbers are drawn from a pool of 1 to 49.

• Draw Schedule: Draws take place every Saturday at approximately 21:00 EST.
• Sales Cut-off: Ticket sales for a specific draw close at 20:45 EST on the day of the draw. Purchases made after this time will be entered into the next available draw.
• RNG: Draws are conducted using a certified Random Number Generator (RNG) or a mechanical ball machine, audited by independent third-party testing agencies.
• Results: Official results are published on the website. In the event of a discrepancy between the numbers displayed on the website and the official draw records, the official draw records shall prevail.

5. Prizes & Withdrawals

Prizes are awarded based on the matching numbers as defined in the "Winning Conditions" section of the website.

• Claim Period: All prizes must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be directed to charitable causes or returned to the prize pool, as per regulation.
• Small Prizes: Prizes under $1,000 are automatically credited to your Player Account.
• Major Prizes: Prizes of $1,000 or more (including the Jackpot) require a formal claim process, identity verification, and potentially a media release form.
• Jackpot Sharing: If there are multiple winners for Division 1 (Jackpot), the prize pool is shared equally among all winning tickets.
• Taxation: While lottery winnings are generally tax-free in Canada, you are solely responsible for any tax implications in your specific jurisdiction.

6. Responsible Gaming

We are dedicated to providing a safe gaming environment. We offer tools to help you manage your play:

• Deposit Limits: You can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits.
• Self-Exclusion: You may request to be excluded from accessing your account for a definitive period (e.g., 6 months, 1 year, or permanently).

7. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

• Using the website for money laundering or other illegal activities.
• Colluding with other players.
• Using automated bots, scripts, or software to purchase tickets.
• Abusing bonuses or promotional offers.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we suspect a violation of these Terms. In such cases, any legitimate balance (excluding winnings obtained through fraud) will be returned to you.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, code, and software, is the property of NLJ Operations Ltd. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NLJ Operations Ltd. makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the website's operation.

We shall not be liable for:

• Technical failures, server interruptions, or data loss.
• Errors in data entry or transmission.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

System Malfunction: In the event of a system malfunction, all plays and pays are void.

11. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
